The Town of Gaspé wishes to inform the public that public health is currently monitoring the fire situation at the technical landfill. At the moment, the concentration of smoke in Gaspé remains low, and it is not very irritating.
For people who would be bothered by smoke odors or irritation, it is recommended to stay indoors whenever possible and close windows and ventilation.
An update will be made according to the evolution of the fire and winds.
