Notice of major road entry on Route 198 (York Blvd. East)

The Town of Gaspé informs the public that Route 198 (York Boulevard East) will be completely closed near the Couche-Tard convenience store on Wednesday, September 10, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. due to work to extend the water and sewer systems for a new residential development.
Emergency vehicle traffic (ambulances, firefighters, police) will be maintained to ensure access to the town center and the hospital.
Marked detour routes will be established by the contractor via the road link between the Augustines Industrial Park and the Port of Gaspé, and via York Boulevard East, the Sunny Bank Bridge, and Wakeham Hill.
